What is ACSM's Health and Fitness Summit and Expo?

ACSM’s Health and Fitness Summit and Exposition was created in 1997 as a means to bridge the gap existing between the science of sports medicine and practice for the fitness professional, broadly defined.

The initial conference drew 700+ attendees, a modest exhibit hall, and a loyal following for this relatively new educational offering. Today the meeting has nearly doubled in size, and attracts an impressive group of attendees, faculty, and exhibitors. The meeting now includes additional features like workout sessions with master trainers, hands-on demonstrations, panel discussions, and more. The 2010 Summit will boast superior faculty, hand-chosen to address the most timely, and cutting edge issues.

Here's a sample video from last year's event:

Sample of one of the Sessions to be covered: Scope of Practice Panel (When to Move a Client Along)

This session will focus on the challenges of the Health/Fitness professional, how to discuss nutrition information with clients while staying within your scope of practice, and passing the baton without breaking stride: the role of the Clinical Exercise Physiologist.
